For all mechanical repairs, let’s talk today.

It’s time for an oil change

There is no simple answer to this. How often you should change your car oil will depend on how often you drive, conditions, and driving habits. Your engine is the heart of your car, so changing the oil is extremely important. It’s perhaps the most important task, in order to keep your car purring the way it should. It’s best to look at your own driving habits. Are they normal?

We don’t consider these activities “normal” driving:

    • Frequent short trips (less than five kilometres, especially during cold weather)
    • Stop-and-go city traffic driving
    • Driving in dusty conditions, on gravel roads, etc.
    • Driving at sustained freeway speeds during hot weather
    • Towing use.

Be sure to check your tyre pressure every month. Rotating them regularly will also help, every six months. If you need any advice with your engine or oil or anything else, let us know.
