How Often Should I Change my Tyres?
Your tyres are the only point of contact your car has with the road. So it’s important to keep them in good condition. With poor tyres, your car simply cannot be safe. Not only this, but tyres also effect how much it costs to keep your car running.
There is no one-size-fits-all, when it comes to changing your tyres. Every tyre and every car is different. It depends on how you drive, where you drive, how frequently you drive, and the quality of the tyres. But here are some three pinpoint signs that you need to change your tyres.
The less tread you have on your tyres, the more you put yourself in danger. Check the tread wear indicators (TWIs) on each of your tyres. This will tell you how far you are away from needing new tyres.
If your tyres are older than five years, you’ll need to replace them.
Replace full set
If you can, replace all four tyres. Once they’re ready to be replaced, do them all at the same time. Different tyre ages can change the road grip of your car. Remember to replace your spare tyre too, while you can.
